Who we are
HomeRecord is a UK-based service for homeschool families. We help parents plan lessons, record work, and generate reports for Local Authority compliance. Our website is homerecord.app.
What data we collect
- Account information — your name and email address, collected when you sign up via Clerk.
- Child profiles — names, dates of birth, and curriculum types that you enter.
- Work items and files — lesson notes, uploaded documents, images, and other files you upload as evidence of your child's learning.
- Billing information — handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
- Usage data — anonymised analytics via PostHog to help us improve the product.
How we use your data
- To provide and operate the HomeRecord service.
- To generate PDF reports and portfolios on your behalf.
- To send transactional emails (account confirmation, payment receipts).
- To improve the product using anonymised usage analytics.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except the sub-processors listed below.
Where your data is stored
All data is stored in EU/UK regions. We use the following sub-processors:
- Neon — PostgreSQL database (EU region)
- Cloudflare R2 — file storage (EU region)
- Clerk — authentication and user management
- Stripe — payment processing
- Resend — transactional email
- PostHog — anonymised product analytics (EU region)
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can delete your account from the Settings page, which will permanently remove all your data. To request a copy of your data or for any privacy questions, contact us at privacy@homerecord.app.

We use essential cookies only — to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
