Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account and using HomeRecord, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of service

HomeRecord provides tools for homeschool families to record educational work, plan lessons, map to curriculum standards, and generate reports for Local Authority compliance. The service is provided on a subscription basis.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You may not share your account with others.

4. Subscription and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. You may cancel at any time from the Settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to HomeRecord. By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to store and process it solely to provide the service to you. We do not use your content for any other purpose.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use HomeRecord to upload unlawful content, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, or to use the service in any way that could harm other users or the service itself.

7. Service availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. We may occasionally need to perform maintenance that temporarily interrupts access. We will notify users of planned downtime where possible.

8. Limitation of liability

HomeRecord is a record-keeping tool. We are not responsible for decisions made by Local Authorities or educational institutions based on reports generated by the service. The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

9. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email of any significant changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
